Wonderful tour to discover the whole Yukon : The southern lakes, Kluane national park, Tombstones park, the scenic roads as the Klondike highway, the « top of the world » highway, the Haines highway, the Alaska highway, the Dempster Highway, the Campbell highway, the Canol road. Visit of Whitehorse, Skagway, Haines, Juneau, Dawson, Teslin.

Whitehorse – Skagway – Haines – Juneau – Kluane – Top of the world – Dawson –   Tombstones – Dempster Highway – Klondike Highway – Campbell Highway – Faro – Canol road – Teslin – Whitehorse.

Day 1 : Welcome and meeting with your guide in Whitehorse. We drive to Skagway by the Klondike Highway south. We stop at Emerald Lake, at Carcross desert, the smallest desert of the world and Carcross beside Bennett Lake. Then, we drive this scenic highway to Alaska. At Fraser, we cross the Canadian border, then, the USA border before going down to Skagway and the Pacific coast. Lodging in Skagway. 200 km.

D2 : Visit of Skagway and surroundings. Visit of Dyea, the historic site from where the gold seekers started on the Chilkoot trail during the gold rush in 1897-98. Lodging in Skagway. 30 km.

D3 :  Today, we travel by ferry to Haines. Lodging in Haines. Visit of the surroundings.

D4 : Sightseeing trip by boat to Juneau. It will be possible to see whales, seals and sea lions. Visit of Juneau and Mendenhall Glacier. Lodging in Haines.

D5 : We drive to Haines Junction by the Haines Highway. We will stop to the First Nation village and visit the interesting center. From the Pacific, the landscape is changing. We soon reach the mountainous landscape near the Kluane National Park. Lodging in Haines Junction. 300 km.

D6 : We spend the day in the Kluane National Park. Hiking or flight seeing. (Not incuded in the price). The plane with skis will land on the glacier near Mt Logan the highest mountain in Canada, near 6000 m. 17 of the 20 highest mountains in Canada are located in the Kluane National Park. Lodging in Haines Junction. 100km.

D7 : Hiking in the park. Lodging at a motel near Kluane lake. 100 km.

D8 :  We drive the Alaska Highway West. At Beaver Creek, we cross the border with Alaska (USA). We spend the night in Tok. Tok was always a center of exchange between the First Nations of the area, the Athabscans. Many villages around Tok are First Nations villages. 400 km.

D9 : We drive the “Top of the world”  highway to join Dawson in Yukon. We stop in Chicken a typical gold seekers village. Population : 21 in summer, 6 in winter. It is possible to go gold panning or to visit an old gold dredge. Then, we cross again the border with Canada before arriving to the Yukon River. We have to cross the river by ferry. Lodging in Dawson city. 300 km.

D10 : Sightseeing of the typical village of Dawson, with the famous Jack London’s cabin. Visit of the Danoja Zho Cultural Center, the Tr’ondek Hwech’in  First Nation heritage. In the evening, it is possible to see a typical can can girls show at the Diamond Tooth Gerties Casino. Lodging in Dawson. 30 km.

D11 : It is possible to visit a gold mine dredge or to enjoy a small boat tour on the Yukon river. Lodging in Dawson. 30 km.

D12 : We leave for the Tombstones Park on the Dempster Road. The Tombstones Mountains are a spectacular geological formation. We drive the Dempster Road to Eagle Plains. Lodging in Eagle Plains. 400km.

D 13 :We drive the Dempster Highway to Fort Mc Pherson. We cross the Arctic Circle. Lodging in Eagle Plains. 250 km.

D 14: We go back to the Klondike Highway with another stop near the Tombstones. We drive to Mayo. Lodgin in Mayo.  500 km.

D 15 : We drive the Klondike Highway. Lunch stop at Carmacks, then we drive the scenic Campbell Highway. Lodging in Faro.400 km.


D 16 : We drive the Canol road South. This road was built during the last world war by the US army to provide access to oil fields on the Mackenzie River. Today this scenic gravel road is maintained in summer. We go through a wild area. It is possible to see wildlife. Then, we arrive at Johnson Crossing, the junction with the Alaska Highway. Lodging at Johnson Crossing. 250 km.

D 17 :We visit the interesting museum and the Tlingit First Nation cultural center in Teslin. Lodging in a B & B near little Atlin lake. 130 km.

D 18 : We go back to Whitehorse. It is possible to visit museums or the wildlife preserve or to soak in the warm water of Takhini hot spring. Lodging in Whitehorse. 120 km.

D 19 : Free morning in Whitehorse and other visits. Lodging in Whitehorse. 30 km.

D 20 : Free day in Whitehorse and transfer to the airport. 20 km.
