Whitehorse day hikes

DAY HIKES – WHITEHORSE

Easy to moderate

 Fish lake – 3 to 5 hours

This trail starts at a high altitude and is so close to Whitehorse that you can be walking along a ridge in the alpine in no time. Once on the ridge, there are many options and ample opportunity for exploring.

 Chadburn and Hidden lakes – 2 to 4 hours

This trail provides for a short day hike on easy terrain near two beautiful green lakes.

 Yukon River – Canyon City – 4 to 6 hours

The trail follows the beautiful river to the ghost village of Canyon City.

 Moderate to difficult

Mt Mcintyre –  8 to 9 hours

It is a great day hike for those wanting to experience the sub alpine and alpine area. Abundant wildflowers and excellent views of Fish lake.

Grey Mountain – 4 – 5 hours.

The main part of the climb is made by vehicle. If the weather is clear, it offers a good view.

Difficult

Mt Lorne – 7 to 9 hours

This is a long challenging day hike, which involves some steep off-trail travel. It offers spectacular panoramic vistas.

Kusawa Ridge – 5 to 6 hours

From the summit you are rewarded with a full panormatic view of Kusawa Lake and the surrounding area.
